What We Believe
We believe that the Bible is God's inspired Word. It is perfect and without error. It reveals God to man and instructs us in how to live. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
We believe that God is one God. Revealed in Three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6)
We believe that Jesus Christ is God. (John 1:1-5); He emptied Himself and became a man. (Philippians 2:5-11); He lived a perfect life. (Hebrews 4:15); He died a sacrificial death. (Mark 10:45); He was raised and buried from the dead. (Matthew 28:6); He is seated at the right hand of the Father making intercession for us. (Romans 8:34); He will one day personally return to receive His Bride, the Church (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18); He alone will judge the living and the dead. (John 5:22)
We believe the Holy Spirit baptizes all believers the moment of Salvation. (1 Corinthians 12:13); He gifts the believer. (1 Corinthians 12); He empowers the believer. (Acts 1:8); He sanctifies the believer. (1 Thessalonians 2:13); A holy life is the evidence that the Holy Spirit is in control of ones life. (2 Corinthians 7:1);(1 Thessalonians 4:7);(Ephesians 4:20-32)
We believe that sinful man can be made right with a Holy God ONLY through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. (John 3:16-18);(Galatians 3:11) apart from any human works, baptism, or church membership. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
We believe that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) That the wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23) That Jesus Christ loves sinners and died on the cross that they must be forgiven. (Romans 5:28) and through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, each person can be saved. (Romans 10:9-10)
We believe that genuine believers are eternally secure in the hand of Jesus. (John 10:27-30);(Hebrews 9:12)
We believe that God owns all things. (Psalms 24:1) Each believer is to be a faithful steward of what God has given to him or her. (1 Corinthians 4:1-2); We will be held accountable for our use of Gods blessings. (Matthew 25:14-30); Each believer should give at least a tithe (10%) of his or her possessions to the Lord. (Malachi 3:8-10)
