Where Can I Get Involved?

Jesus told us to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Bayou Sara is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community and spreads to every nation. Bayou Sara members are involved in a variety of ministries.

Bayou Worship Ministry

God-honoring worship through music is one of our priorities as a church. Whether it is praising the Lord through playing an instrument, singing with our worship team, or working with our technical staff, our desire is to ultimately lift high the wonderful name of Jesus Christ through congregational singing.

Bayou Prayer Ministry

Bayou Sara is a body of believers dependent upon prayer and committed to God’s sovereignty. Throughout the week, prayer team members pray for one another and for the needs of others. Each Wednesday evening, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.  Prayer Meeting meets Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. in the Worship Center.  All are invited.

Bayou Missions

Bayou Sara is committed to local, national, and international missions. In doing this, we offer a wide-array of opportunities for people to serve. These ministries include: Food Bank, Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child, Alabama Baptist Children’s Home,  Mexico Missions, Disaster Relief, Bereavement, and others.

Bayou Kids

Bayou Kids range from kindergarten through the 5th grade. On Sunday Mornings at 11:00 a.m. we have worship in the choir room behind the sanctuary. On Wednesday nights AWANA meets in Building D. During the year we will have various events such as fall festivals, holiday parties, movie nights, and many more.

Bayou Students
Students from grades 6th through 12th meet on Wednesday nights at 6:15 in our Student Ministry Worship Center, located on the second floor of Building D, for worship, devotion, fellowship, and family groups. During the school year and summer months we take part in various trips, outings, and fellowships aimed at, not only drawing us closer together as a faith family, but also into a closer and more intimate relationship with Christ.

Bayou Women’s Ministry

Bayou Sara Women’s Ministry gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our Women’s Ministry provides a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church and plenty of opportunities to serve and fellowship.

Bayou Men’s Ministry

THE MAN CHURCH gives men special times of interaction, fellowship, and discipleship. Our Men’s Ministry provides a refreshing recurring discipleship opportunity for all men. THE MAN CHURCH discipleship strategy is focused on disciplining and challenging men through small group breakout sessions. THE MAN CHURCH meets every Monday night at 6:00 p.m. Quarterly we host a “Meat and Taters” night in conjunction with our weekly fellowship.  BE A MAN…FOLLOW JESUS.

Bayou Believers

Bayou Believers is a ministry for adults of all ages. They meet regularly for fun, travel, and fellowship.

Bayou Community Food Bank

We are committed to help in meeting needs of our local community. One of the ways we do this is through our food bank. Our food bank is an equal opportunity establishment that assists residents of Saraland and Satsuma who are in need. Our food bank is open Tuesday mornings from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. and Thursdays from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. All those seeking assistance will need to have an ID and the number of people in their home.
